This is a full-time, office-based role, with the potential for hybrid, located at our Minneapolis headquarters.
- Develop, manage and optimize comprehensive email and SMS marketing strategies, including promotional campaigns, triggered messages, lifecycle journeys, and transactional communications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align messaging with product launches, seasonal promotions, and other marketing initiatives.
- Partner with Marketing/Creative team to ensure creative achieves campaign objectives.
- Build, test and deploy Emails & SMS leveraging best practices and learnings to drive engagement, conversions, and revenue.
- Develop and refine customer segments based on behavior, demographics, and purchase history to deliver highly targeted and personalized communications.
- Implement A/B testing and data-driven optimizations to improve email and SMS performance, including open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and revenue generated.
- Create and execute strategies to grow the email and SMS subscriber database, including lead capture tactics, sign-up incentives, and list-building initiatives.
- Manage subscriber opt-ins, opt-outs, and preferences, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
- Regularly optimize operations, strategies and content to minimize bounce rates, unsubscribes, and inactive contacts.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including CTR, revenue generated, conversion rates, and other engagement-related KPIs.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to Marketing and internal partners to improve campaign effectiveness and overall CRM performance.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to email and SMS marketing.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and innovation to enhance customer engagement and revenue growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in email and SMS marketing at a consumer lifestyle brand.
- Adept using email and SMS marketing platforms (e.g. Klaviyo, Wunderkind); experience HTML coding is a plus.
- Experience working with CDP and CRM platforms preferred.
- Compent using Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and audience targeting strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to optimize engagement KPIs (CTR, revenue) and manage database health (unsubscribes, bounces).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
- Strong written communication skills with an eye for creating compelling and effective messaging.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CAN-SPAM) and best practices for compliance.
- Collaborative team player with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
